Airport welcome and transfer to the hotel in the neighborhood of Miraflores. No scheduled visit on this day, as flights usually arrive in the afternoon. If your flight arrives in the morning, a visit can be scheduled in the afternoon on day 1. Your transfer from the airport to the hotel is guaranteed regardless of your arrival time. 

Hotel pick-up. City tour in the morning to the City of the Kings, the capital of Peru. Visit to the Plaza Mayor in the center of the city of Lima, with its colonial buildings and the beautiful neighborhood of Miraflores. Lunch.

Transfer to the airport in Lima in the afternoon, to catc the flight to Arequipa, the country’s second city. Arrival and transfer to the hotel located in the center of the white city. Overnight stay in Arequipa. 

City tour on foot. Arequipa is surrounded by volcanoes, and boasts an interesting landscape full of colonial mansions, the church of the Society of Jesus, and the main square which is considered one of the most beautiful in Peru.

We will then visit the Monastery of Santa Catalina, a “small town” dating back to the sixteenth century, transporting its visitors four centuries into the past. Afterwards we will go to our Peruvian cooking classes, where we will learn how to prepare the best typical dishes and taste a delicious pisco sour. Free afternoon. 

Overnight stay inArequipa. 

Pick up from the hotel to start your trip to the Colca Canyon, the deepest in the world. We will then enter the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, natural habitat of alpacas and vicuñas. We will continue our route until we reach the highest point at 4910 meters, to descend down into the town of Chivay, where we will have lunch (not included), before moving on to our hotel in the town of Yanque. Later on, we will take a pleasant walk through the pre-Inca terraces in order to get used to to the altitude before visiting the hot springs.

Night in Yanque. 

Early in the morning we will visit the Cruz del Condor viewpoint to appreciate the majesty of the largest bird in the world and in the Colca Canyon, with a depth of 1200 meters, without a doubt a magical and unforgettable moment in Peru. After lunch (not included), we will set off towards Puno by tourist bus. We will stop at the Mirador de Lagunillas, a typical high plateau landscape where we’ll be able to see birds and hopefully flamingos.

Arrival in Puno and night at the hotel.

In the morning we will visit the beautiful and unique floating islands of the Uros, a magical and ancestral place where the locals will show us their interesting work made from bulrush, on the mysterious Lake Titicaca. We will then go on to Puno.

If you wish, you can do the excursion over 1 or 2 days on the islands of Taquile and Amantani. Night in Puno.

Morning departure by tourist bus to Cusco. We will visit Pucara, the civilization before the Incas, the Raya located at 4370 meters, where we will leave the Andean Plateau and start our descent towards the Vilcanota valley. Lunch.  In the afternoon, we will visit the Inca site of Raqchi, the “Temple of Wiracocha” and the village and church of Andahuaylillas known as the “Sistine Chapel of America”. Arrival in Cusco, the inca capital, in the afternoon. 

Night in Cusco. 

Cusco will undoubtedly be one of the most magical parts of your trip to Peru, with its Inca vestiges and colonial architecture. In order to enjoy a panoramic view of the city, we will climb to the top of Cusco to visit Sacsayhuaman, a formidable Inca titanic construction, before continuing our journey through the Sacred Valley to visit the spectacular Inca city of Pisac, along with its craft market. Lunch in Urubamba. In the afternoon, arrival in Ollantaytambo.

Overnight stay in Ollantaytambo.

Morning train journey over to Aguas Calientes, where a bus will take you to the site of Machu Picchu, undoubtedly the highlight of any trip to Peru. Its status as wonder of the world truly highlights how the beauty of the citadel goes seamlessly hand in hand with nature. After the visit, we will return to Aguas Calientes for lunch and then travel back to Ollantaytambo by train. Arrival at the end of the day. 

Overnight stay in Ollantaytambo.

In the morning we will visit the Inca site of Ollantaytambo, a gigantic agricultural, social, religious and military administrative complex from the Tahuantinsuyo era.

We will then explore the Inca terraces of Moray and the salt ponds of Maras, where the salt extraction is still done by hand.

Overnight at hotel in Cusco.

In the morning transfer to the airport to return to Lima and finish off this wonderful experience.

Connection with your international flight.

If your international flight leaves in the morning, we will have to add on an extra night in Lima the night before.
