DAY 1. COUNTRYSIDE TOUR \/ CITY TOUR<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our visit begins at 8am, when we\u2019ll take private transportation over to the Sachaca viewpoint, which boasts incredible views over the three volcanoes surrounding the city, next to the fields. Then we\u2019ll continue to the Founder’s Mansion, a beautiful colonial structure in the middle of green fields. Our final stop will be the beautiful colonial mill of Sabandia, built in 1621, which is still in operation. All in all, a fascinating tour of the local countryside.<\/p>\n

In the afternoon, the Monastery of Santa Catalina awaits, a landmark and local gem where time seems to have stopped. Then we\u2019ll go on to the Central Plaza, which harbors fascinating local history and finally we\u2019ll finish with the museum of the Mummy Juanita. This route fuses the pre-Hispanic with the Hispanic, explainign Arequipa\u2019s nature as a heritage city. Overnight stay at the hotel.<\/p>\n

DAY 2 VOLCANIC ROCK QUARRIES\/ AREQUIPA COOKING CLASSES<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our day will begin at 7am with a visit of the volcanic rock quarries where we will get a unique perspective on the city\u2019s monuments, as well as witness the quarriers working the stone with their bare hands. What the volcanoes left behind, man turns into art with his hands.
\nThen we will go on to the market of San Camilo to see the great variety of local products and to choose our ingredients for the preparation of a typical local dish. It will be a beautiful experience. Overnight stay at the hotel.<\/p>\n

DAY 3 COLCA VALLEY <\/strong><\/p>\n

Our tour begins at 7 am, passing through the national reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca, where we\u2019ll have the chance to see vicu\u00f1as, llamas, alpacas. Then we will continue to the highest point above 4910 meters, making a stop to admire the volcanoes viewpoint and part of the western mountain range, before descending to the town of Chivay (3650 meters) for lunch, with an optional walk in the afternoon. Overnight stay at the hotel.<\/p>\n

DAY 4. COLCA CANYON <\/strong><\/p>\n

After a pleasant breakfast, it\u2019ll be time to enjoy the great landscape of pre-Inca terraces in the Colca Valley, heading towards the viewpoint of the condor cross to enjoy the flight of this majestic Andean bird. We\u2019ll then return to the town of Chivay for lunch and continue on to the city of Puno (6 or 7-hour journey), enjoying the beautiful scenery of the plateau with some stops along the way. Overnight stay at the hotel.<\/p>\n
