DAY 1<\/strong>. Our visit takes place in the morning or afternoon. In this 3 hour-tour you\u2019ll have the chance to enjoy the architecture and local history of a city declared to be heritage by UNESCO. An absolute icon in the city is the Monastery of Santa Catalina, a peaceful world within itself where time seems to have stopped, then the historical center where each monument boasts an architectural beauty featuring the volcanic rock of which the city is built. Overnight stay at the hotel.<\/p>\n

DAY 2.<\/strong>Our tour begins at 7am, passing through the Salinas National Reserve where you\u2019ll have the chance to spot vicu\u00f1as, llamas, alpacas. Then we\u2019ll continue to the highest point above 4910 meters, to a viewpoint over volcanoes and part of the western mountain range, then we\u2019ll descend to the town of Chivay 3650 meters for lunch. Optional walk in the afternoon. Overnight stay at the hotel.<\/p>\n

If you wish, we can add a 3-hour walk in the afternoon to a place off the beaten track, in order to enjoy more nature and breathe in the pure mountain air.<\/p>\n

DAY 3.<\/strong>After a pleasant breakfast, it\u2019ll be time to enjoy the great landscape of pre-Inca terraces in the Colca Valley, heading towards the viewpoint of the Condor Cross to enjoy the flight of this majestic Andean bird. Then we\u2019ll return to the town of Chivay for lunch and continue on to the city of Puno (6 or 7-hour journey) enjoying the beautiful scenery of the plateau with some stops on the way. Overnight stay at the hotel.<\/p>\n
